I remember one Summer just Rod came for a vist with Mom, Dad and me. He brought a 22 pistol. He went target practicing, and I, of course, tagged along. He was shooting at a pine tree across the creek. I wanted to try, so he patiently gave me safety instructions and let me try. I hit a tiny Aspen tree close to the pine tree. He asked me if that was what I was aiming for. I, of course, lied and told him it was! He told me I didn't need any more practice and took the pistol away. :( Shouldn't have lied. :( You guys and Les were always so patient with their little girl cousin that always had to tag along on adventures. I always looked up to all of you. I thought you guys were just the best, and you were. I am deeply saddened by the passing of Rod. I am so very sorry for your loss.
